January 17th, 2023 | From our CEO
2022 has been yet a challenging year for many of us. As we finally thought we had managed the worst of the pandemic, the world got hit by an unexpected war, rising inflation and an energy crisis. I wonder, if scenario planning still is a thing? It seems, we constantly must readjust and recalibrate anyways, as everything we assume changes.
Change is the only constant, as Heraclitus said. During all those changes, Innovisor made 3 giant discoveries.

And it is still lost, as we enter 2023!

The consequence is a group of people, whose value-add is still suffering from joining your company. In many cases this is the group of people most likely to leave your organization, and where ‘win-back’ conversations are overdue.
Dear Executives, this is an easy win for you. What are you waiting for?
Discovery 2 – Loneliness Inside Organizations Remains High in 2022…
About 30% of employees are not included in the social networks. This is the same number as in 2021. We saw no improvements in 2022.
Great leaders ensure all employees are included in the social networks. Unfortunately, we see very few great leaders, when we analyze organizational networks. The direct consequence of is a drop in organizational performance, so they should care!
A more indirect consequence is that inclusion suffers, as we predominantly connect with people that are “just like us” and not those “people in the periphery”.
Isn’t it time that we get this right in 2023? I think it is. It requires executives to not only talk but also to follow through. Maybe even to create non-loneliness policies? – and making sure inclusion moves from talk to action?
Discovery 3 – Quality Collaboration Beats Quantity Collaboration…
Forget measuring digital footprints. What truly matters in organizations how your people connecting to each other in relationships characterized by mutual trust, sympathy, feeling of accessibility, and awareness of each other’s competencies.
In 2023, as we keep moving towards a more hybrid way of working, what matters is NOT the size of our offices or the newest version of a collaboration platforms. What matters is intentional human connections. Who should connect to whom, when, how, and why?

What Will Happen in 2023?
So, what will 2023 bring? – We don’t know!
Predicting would not be serious based on our learnings from the last 3 years. However, we do know, it is time to fasten the seatbelts. The pace of change inside organizations is not slowing down.
Stay tuned, follow the Innovisor social media accounts. We promise to share our insights with you, as soon as we have them.
